The Transformed Librarian

This presentation explores the transformation of librarians at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics within the framework of the university’s internationalization strategy. Through participation in librarian exchange programs, the organization of international conferences, and the hosting of library professionals from around the world, librarians have expanded their global perspectives and professional competencies. At the same time, the library has fostered a culture of continuous learning, adaptability, and open collaboration, empowering staff to respond effectively to emerging challenges and opportunities. The presentation highlights how international engagement and organizational learning have contributed to the development of a dynamic, innovative, and globally minded librarian workforce.
